My name is Haley Gonzalez, and I am a senior at ADM High School. I moved to Adel four years ago and since then I have tried some new things here. I joined the golf team, showed rabbits at the county fair, managed for the boys basketball team, and I tried Ac Dec. This year I am going to be participating in two programs, Youth Leadership Initiative of the Greater Des Moines and Iowa Youth Congress, outside of school to enhance and learn new skills. I joined News Journalism because I wanted to get more involved with the media being published at our school and thought it would be a great opportunity to improve my writing skills. For my future, I would like to attend Arizona State University and get my degree in political science. I think News Journalism will be a great chance to stretch my skill set while being able to communicate with the student body about important matters!
