Hello, my name is Katelyn Priestley, and I am a junior at ADM High School. This is my first year on the News Journalism staff. Outside of journalism, I am involved in basketball, Student Council and FCA. I joined journalism to become more involved with my school and community. My future goal is to go to the University of Iowa and pursue a marketing degree. I look forward to writing stories about sports and activities happening in our school.

Standing, Norton ends his impactful speech by demonstrating to students how they can overcome the odds and make the most of their lives. Norton hopes to inspire students through his life story with his catchphrase, "Be a Georgia, not a Dr Phantom." Georgia was the nurse who inspired his recovery and he prompts students to try and lift others, like she once did for him.
