McKenzie Gettler has been honored as 2023’s November Teacher of the Month. She teaches many agriculture classes and is the ADM FFA chapter advisor. Gettler has been a teacher for 14 years and has spent 9 years at ADM.

She has been nominated by many students because they have noticed her compassion for her students and their learning in FFA. Students also agree that Gettler provides very engaging activities throughout all of her classes. She decided to become a teacher because of her passion for working with young agriculturalists and because she believes agriculture is important for everyone to learn about. Gettler said that she enjoys being able to foster kids’ interests and future careers because it is very important and is a content area that means a lot to her. To her, FFA is one of the most beneficial student-led organizations. She said being named teacher of the month is nice and appreciates students for recognizing her hard work.
