Mackenzie Evans is the May Student of the Month. She is the senior daughter of Jason and Tricia Evans. She holds a 4.0 GPA and has enjoyed several classes during her time at ADM. Some of her favorites include DMACC Anatomy and Physiology because she finds it highly interesting as it relates to the field she wants to pursue. Evans also enjoyed Biomed and Human Body Systems because they gave her lots of knowledge. She enjoyed French classes because they were fun, enjoyable, and relaxed. Evans has been heavily involved in drama as she has many roles in the musicals and plays throughout her four years. By being involved in drama, she’s learned a lot about leadership, communication skills, and building relationships with peers. Evans spends lots of time volunteering in the children’s ministry at her church. This has provided her with a good experience and has allowed her to work with children. In the fall, Evans plans to attend the University of Northern Iowa with a major in nursing. Evans advises others to “be very intentional with your time” and “don’t burn yourself out”. To Evans, being a Student of the Month feels nice to be recognized. She feels she was honored for her hard work in academics, extracurricular activities, and for maintaining good grades. In honor of her achievements, Raccoon Valley Bank has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
