Taylor Braun is the April Student of the Month. She is a senior and is the daughter of Russell and Melody Braun. Braun said her favorite class in high school was AP Language and Composition because they got to discuss lots of interesting topics and fun people in the class. She is involved in the pep band, marching band, jazz band, band council, jazz choir, NHS, and track. She is also a section leader in the marching band. Braun says she has “learned the importance of hard work and commitment”. She goes on to say that leadership positions require lots of time and energy. After senior year, Braun plans to attend the University of Northern Iowa as an Exploratory major. Her advice to others is, “to work hard in your classes and also get to know your teachers because connections within the district can help you have more opportunities”. Being Student of the Month represents recognition to Braun, and it honors the time and commitment she has put into her activities over the years. In honor of her accomplishments, Racoon Valley Bank is donating $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
