The January Student of the Month is Hailey Lensch, who is the daughter of Mike and Melissa Lensch and is a senior this school year. Her GPA is 3.9. Lensch’s favorite classes include Band, Government, and Introduction to Education. Lensch is looking forward to observing the Freshman and Sophomore English classes through this course. She is currently involved in band. “In band, I’ve learned how much effort and drive it takes to see a change in yourself.” Lensch is also involved in theatre and speech and is grateful for the people she has met through these activities. She is planning on attending Iowa State, majoring in English Education and obtaining an endorsement in Government. When asked to give a piece of advice, Lensch said, “Make a plan, don’t have a full set plan, general plans are the key to allowing yourself to be more confident.” When asked what being Student of the Month means to her, Lensch said, “ It is a big honor, and shows that the effort I put toward my education is paying off.” In honor of her achievements, Racoon Valley Bank has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
