Emily Blok has been teaching for two years now, but this is her first year at ADM High School as the business teacher. Blok was nominated by her students because she has a fun teaching style and is very easygoing in her classes. She also has made a lot of good relationships with her students. Blok decided to be a teacher because she likes the idea of being around people and because her mother is a teacher too, it felt like a genetic path for her to follow. She decided to teach business because she loves business and studied it in college. She thinks it is a very practical thing in life to learn about. Being awarded Teacher of the Month felt very sweet and kind to her. It makes her feel encouraged to keep doing things the way she is doing it. She said it is a very impactful feeling to keep her going.
