Celebrating all their accomplishments of the multiple solo and team dances, the ADM Dance Team smiled and screamed the day away! They have been working towards major accomplishments to bring a spotlight back their name. The girls were able to take home a total of seven awards on Saturday!

On Saturday January 21, the ADM Dance Team took on the Midwest Regionals Competition, ready to put up a fight for some awards.

The team had four girls perform solos. Alexis Stine, Emily Wilkerson, Katelyn Lee and Cari Walton all performed in their age groups and came home with some awards. Stine was awarded 3rd Runner Up in the age group 17-18. Walton was the Title Winner and Outstanding Dancer in the age group 15-16.

As a team they brought all their dances from State: pom, contemporary and jazz. The jazz performance was awarded the Choreography Award. The contemporary dance was awarded both the High Point and Choreography Awards. Overall, the team also was awarded the Super Sweepstakes Award.

Coach Tara Leete was very happy with their performances.  She said, “I can’t think of another time I laughed and smiled the entire day!” She is really proud of her entire team with all their hard work they’ve put in. It has definitely paid off!

The girls dance again tonight, Tuesday January 24, at halftime of the boys basketball game against Winterset.
