May’s Golf Athlete of the Month is Grant Hickey. He is the son of Matt and Christine Hickey and is a senior. Grant has been playing golf for 6 1/2 years and loves the game because he can hang out with his friends and be outside having fun. To Hickey, being Athlete of the Month is a huge accomplishment but his main goal is helping the team win a State championship.
He thinks he was honored as Athlete of the Month “because I’m one of the most outgoing people. When I play bad I am still happy and smiling.”
In honor of his achievements, Fareway donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
