Senior Tess Boorn is the daughter of Shelly Hansen and Barry Boorn. She has a GPA of 3.94, and is involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, softball, and Leadership. Boorn said she has learned how to work well with others through these things.

Boorn’s favorite class in high school has been the DMACC CNA course she took because she wants to be a nurse.

“I volunteer at local nursing homes, Meals from the Heartland, and I do Humanitarian Cord.”

Boorn plans to attend The University of Iowa and major in nursing next fall. When asked what advice she would give others, she said, “do your work and stay up to date.”

Boorn believes she was honored with this title because she is active in the community. “It means a lot, and it’s cool to be recognized.”

In honor of her achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
