April Kiwanis Student of the Month: Taylor Caltrider
Taylor Caltrider has been nominated as one of the Kiwani’s Students of the Month for April. Taylor is the daughter of Amy Brensel and Brian Caltrider. She has an outstanding 3.9 GPA. Her favorite three classes in high school have been Spanish, the Biomed classes, and Schroeder’s business classes before his retirement. On top of her accomplishments in school, she has been involved in many extracurricular activities including soccer, student council, volleyball, and basketball. These activities have taught her what it means to be part of a team, she also says, “If things don’t always go your way just stick it through because the team environment is worth it”. Caltrider has spent time volunteering at Meals from the Heartland. This fall she will be attending Iowa State University with a major in Pre-Med dermatology. When asked what advice she would give to others she said, “Stick with things eventually they get better, and you learn a lot from school even if you don’t think so.” To Caltrider, being a Kiwanis Student of the Month is a cool recognition for her contributions at ADM, and shows her that she is valuable and appreciated. She believes she has been honored for her attitude in class and her grades throughout high school.
In honor of her achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
