April Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Scott
Mrs. Scott is one of April’s Teachers of the Month. Multiple students nominated her because she makes PE entertaining. She has been a teacher for 31 years (since 1990), 12 of those at ADM teaching (but coaching volleyball since 2007). Mrs. Scott decided to become a teacher because “I had teachers that made an impact in my life and I wanted to continue that.” Originally thinking of being a history teacher, Mrs. Scott settled on PE because memorization wasn’t her forte and she likes being active. To her, being Teacher of the Month for April means a lot because “it’s nice to be recognized. Sometimes as a PE teacher it’s hard to motivate and sometimes students don’t appreciate all you do.”
