Emily is one of the February’s Fine Arts Student of the Month in recognition of her work in Academic Decathlon. She is a junior and the daughter of Brian and Karen Ahrens. Besides AcDec, Ahrens is also involved in Student Council. These activities teach Ahrens “how to be a team player.”

Ahrens believes other people should participate in these Fine Art activities because “it’s tons of fun and the people are really cool!”

To Ahrens, being Fine Arts Student of the Month means “I work really hard.”

Ahrens believes she had been honored as February’s Fine Arts Student of the Month because “I’m always willing to go the extra mile and willing to help others.”

In honor of her achievements, Lincoln Savings Bank donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
