If I were to use three words to describe myself very broadly, they would be; athlete, gamer, and writer. That means I can do a triathlon, write a few pages of a short story, and beat you at a video game, all in the same day. I love writing fantasy and science fiction stories in my free time and wanted to expand my writing portfolio by learning how to write news stories. In addition to learning a new style of writing, this will be a good experience in writing based on observation and with a set deadline. By the end of the year, I hope to gain knowledge that will help me advance a career in writing.
