ADM’s wrestling team stands as an impressive force in both current and previous seasons. Over the years the team has shown to be hardworking, committed and powerful, the team is a powerhouse. boasts an over 15 man roster and is continuing to grow.
In this star-studded team, one team member has greatly improved from last season, even being able to go so far as to put
out a record of 33-3 as of January 28th, 2026. Junior Ethan Johnson has truly taken a step up from his previous seasons, as he has risen to be a crowd and team favorite and shown his commitment to his and the team’s success.
While Johnson has participated in sports from a very young age, his place in wrestling goes back to kindergarten, as he stated in an interview,

“Going into 8th grade, I just decided wrestling was my sport and I wanted that one”. His commitment to wrestling remains to this day as he has participated the entirety of his freshmen to junior seasons.
A commitment to wrestling is no small task as open mat practices, in which Wrestlers meet to begin to prepare for the season begin in March and continue throughout the year. This is then followed by multi-week practices and weigh-ins before and during the season.
In his career, Johnson’s team has been a large part of his motivation, as their shared experience and hardships in wrestling have been a point of bonding, he said, “I like to say we’re like a family, we’re all in this together and they’re all brothers to me”.
This Idea is echoed by friend of Johnson and teammate Tucker Krug, who is wrestling in his second year on the team. While his time with the sport has been shorter, he also echoes the same feeling, he said “I’d definitely say that it feels like that, it’s a good group of guys I get to work with.
While speaking of his inspirations, Johnson also mentioned his continuous mindset throughout his Freshmen to Junior years, naming his coaches as large inspirations to his aspirations. In his interview he said “It’s just about staying positive, staying warm and getting out there. It’s important to have confidence you’re going to win before going out there”.
Overall, the Wrestling team’s season is looking as promising as ever and with the their results, they can expect to be big contenders for the this and following years.
