ADM recently did some renovating and additions over the summer for their new eighth-grade wing on the east side on the middle school building.

Along with building on many new classrooms and another staircase, the eighth-grade rooms were refurnished and modernly decorated. Various rooms are completed with couches, high tables and chairs, comfy round chairs and other comfortable arrangements.

Eighth grader, Zoe Marckmann, said she thinks the new furniture is “awesome because it brings something more homey to school.” She said, “Everything is more comfy, so I’m not distracted with uncomfortable chairs and I can focus more on learning.”

Another eighth grader, Tyson Shafer, said he really likes it and thinks they are “very cool, comfy, easy to settle down in to read.” He said, “The couches are my favorite because they are the most comfortable and you can pay attention easier.”

The middle schoolers seem to be loving the new renovations, but wsenior Lauren Mikkelsen seemed displeased with the new furniture being in the middle school.

“I think some cool, comfortable furniture needs to be in the high school, too. I wish that new renovation happened while I was in eighth grade!”

Overall, most everyone is loving the renovations and new furniture, but some high schoolers are wishing they had the chance to experience such a cool environment.
