April 2023 Girls Track Athlete of the Month: Makayla Crannell

Gearing up for her race junior Makayla Crannell gets prepped in the blocks to run the first leg of the 4×100.

April 2023 girls track Athlete of the Month is Makayla Crannell. Crannell is the 11th-grade daughter of Anne and Scott Crannnell and has been involved in track since 7th grade.

When asked what she loves about track Crannell talked about the team atmosphere, “I love the good vibes and relationships” Crannell said. She also appreciates the hard work that goes into every practice and meet. She feels like it’s always a good workout and loves that everyone on the team goes through it together creating a closer bond.

Being named Athlete of the Month for track means a lot to Crannell, “I’m just really happy to be in this spot, I’ve dedicated a lot of time and effort to this sport and it’s really nice to see the progress, and results of that work.” She appreciates that her work on the track is paying off. She believes that he has been honored as track Athlete of the Month because of her constant hard work, the progress that has been made through her high school track career, and her leadership and interactions with teammates on the team.

In honor of her achievements Core Physical Therapy has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
