October’s Student of the Month for 2022 is Avery Miller. Avery is the daughter of Charity and Rich Miller. Throughout her high school career, Miller has maintained a GPA of 3.949 while being involved in various activities such as volleyball, cheer, soccer, track, Student Council, NHS, Yearbook, Humanitarian cord, Speech and Quill and Scroll. Along with the activities she is involved in Miller has also taken many classes. Her favorites are be Yearbook because it provides a fun and creative space as well as helped her to find a newfound hobby of photography. She also enjoys the Biomedical courses at ADM because they are very interesting, challenging and align with her future career path. Lastly, she likes Math because it has always been easy for her and she enjoys solving problems.

Miller plans on attending the University of Kansas with a major in Sports Medicine and a minor in Coaching. When asked to give advice about high school Avery replied, “Just do your work and get things done on time so you don’t get behind.” She also says, “Don’t be scared to branch out and meet new people and try new activities. you never know where you will find new friends and passions.” The honor of Student of the Month means a lot to Miller because she is getting recognized for going out and being involved in all the activities and advanced courses. She appreciates that there is recognition for things other than just sports at ADM.  Avery thinks that she was named Student of the Month because she has been so active in the school and helped to make it a better place while being a good influence to others.

In recognition of her achievements, Raccoon Valley Bank has donated $1oo to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
