Sam Hlas, son of Jerry and Christina Hlas has been honored as the 2021’s May Golf Player of the Month. Hlas is a junior this year at ADM who has played high school golf for just over a year now.

Hlas’s favorite part about golf is that he is responsible for the result of his score, as it is an individual sport but also goes as a team sport for his score will go into the team’s total.

Athlete of the Month means a lot to Hlas because he has only been playing for such a short amount of time and that he’s come a long way since he first started. Hlas believes he got this honor because he is one of the few upperclassmen on the team and he is a good role model to a majority freshman golf team.

Because of Hlas’ efforts, Patrick’s Restaurant has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship fund.
