Sally Evoy- May Fine Arts Students Of The Month

Sally Evoy is the May Fine Arts Student of the Month specifically for her talented art work. Sally is a senior this year at ADM and the daughter of Mark and Angie Evoy.

Sally is involved in many fine art activities. These include art, speech, jazz choir, regular choir, and yearbook. She hold many leadership roles in these activities. She is the editor of yearbook, section leader in choir, and the choir secretary.

“I learned about it’s goal to try new things and meet new people. I wouldn’t be friends with some of these people. It’s really important to connect with different people,” Sally says about what she has learned from the activities she is involved in.

Sally believes others should participate in the activities she is involved in. She says, “It teaches you a lot about what you like and don’t. It’s a good way to meet people and it’s really fun.”

Being Fine Arts Student of the Month means a lot to Sally. “It’s nice to be recognized for the work I do. I work a lot with art in and outside of school. It’s a way of expression for me,” she says.

Besides just being talented, Sally believes she is honored as the Student of the Month for other achievements. “I got 3rd place at an art festival. My art is hanging up at the Art Center in Des Moines,” she said.

In honor of Sally’s achievements Lincoln Savings Bank has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
