Cole Schippers : Kiwanis April Student of the Month

Cole Schippers, son of Greg and Nicole Schippers, was selected as one of the Kiwanis Students of the month for April.

Cole has earned a cumulative GPA of 4.0 throughout his high school career. In his 4 years of high school cole has found that his 3 favorite classes were French, AP Gov, and PLTW computer classes.He enjoys French and the teacher, Ap Gov. do to small class size , and the group dynamic, and PLTW computer classes because “thats what i want to do in life.”

Cole has been involved in numerous activities and  has learned a lot from them : Swimming taught Cole time management and hard work, tennis because it’s nice to start something new, and lastly french club taught Cole organization and fun.

When asked where cole volunteers  and when he replied with “Bidwell-riverside homeless shelter, the food pantry, 8th grade swim at Waukee, and meals for the heartland.”

Cole plans to further his education at Iowa State majoring in management information systems while minoring in French.

When asked what advice Cole would give to others about success in school or life he replied with,”It’s what you know, but more importantly who you know.”

When asked what being the Kiwanis student of the Month means to Cole he replied with”I appreciate all they have done for Hyperstream, and recognition for what i have done.”

When asked why Cole believes he has been honored as Kiwanis Students of the Month he said “I presented to them to help get money for hyperstream, my academics, volunteering, and helping to tutor kids.

Due to Cole Schipper’s hard work and achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation
