Jacob Kenny: Kiwanis April Student of the Month

Jacob Kenny, the son of Michael and Lynn Kenny, is one of the Kiwanis Students of the Month for April.

Kenny has earned a cumulative GPA of a 4.0+ throughout his high school career. His favorite three classes in high school were the three PLTW classes offered by ADM. “They were engineering courses that involved building and problem solving and I like that,” Kenny said.

Kenny has been involved in numerous activities such as baseball, basketball, SADD, Math Club, Volunteer Club and AcDec. When asked what he has learned from these activities he said, “to be involved.”

Even with all of his activities, Kenny also finds time to volunteer. Kenny plans on earning his Humanitarian cord and volunteers everywhere he possibly can.

Kenny is currently undecided about his future plans, but would like to further his education studying architecture.

When asked what advice Jacob would give to others about success in school or life , he replied with, “If you want to be successful in life, your goal should be to make other’s lives easier to help people out.”

When asked what being one of the Kiwanis Students of the Month meant for Jacob he replied with”I’m honored and very thankful to get it, it means I’m doing something right.”

Jacob believes he has been honored for Kiwanis Student of the Month because “I’ve got good character.”

In recognition of Jacob Kenny’s hard work and achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to ADM Scholarship Foundation.
