ADM’s Dance Team took on State last Thursday and Friday at Wells Fargo Arena. This year they took three dances to State including jazz, pom and lyrical.

In their jazz routine on Thursday, December 1, the girls took 5th place in class 4.

On Friday December 2, they performed both pom and lyrical routines. In lyrical, the dance team was only 0.1 points off from getting a Division I rating, but in pom they were able to take home a Division I plaque.

Dancers on the team include senior Alexis Stine; juniors Emily Wilkerson and Dakota Jones; sophomore Danielle Selover; and freshmen Katelyn Lee, Katrina Meadowcroft, Amber Ghering, Janalyn Olson, and Cari Walton.  They are coached by Tara Leete and managed by Taylor McDonald. Cari Walton, Van Meter freshman who joined up with ADM’s dance team, won state solos earlier this year and was also recognized on Friday night.

Congratulations to the ADM dance team on their high-level performances and achievements at this year’s State dance! They will be dancing at basketball games starting December 13th.
