Late Night is Back

Late+Night+is+Back

After the writers strike began on May 2nd of this year, all Late Night show productions came to a screeching halt. There are four main shows that are a staple for late night talk shows today. Consisting of Seth Meyers, Late Night, Jimmy Kimmel’s, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Stephen Colbert’s, The Late Show, and Jimmy Fallon’s, The Tonight Show. All of these men included a skit about the iconic return of their beloved shows that came back on Monday October 2nd.  This return is thanks to the end of the writers strike, due to a three year agreement with the WGA (Writers Guild of America) and studios, streaming services, and other production companies. Jimmy Fallon was especially excited. Once the strike ended he began a series of posts on his social media to promote the return. Fallon’s posts consisted of videos of him arriving at his studio after the 148 day break. After the first week of shows he posted “That’s a wrap on our first week back. I couldn’t be more excited and grateful to be back home in studio 6B.”
