Pops Concert Photo Gallery
Here are some highlights from the high school choir’s annual Pops Concert on Friday, February 24th, 2023.
The Pops Concert is an anticipated and large event every year, showing off the vocal talents of ADM’s students with solo, jazz choir, and concert choir performances.
Before the Concert
Finding some quiet in the choir ensemble room, accompanist Sarah McKeever does some last minute practice. After the choir's warm-up, she came here to play before the concert. McKeever is a full-time accompanist for the high school choir and jazz choirs.
Jazz Choirs
Matching the laid-back vibe of jazz music, some of the jazz vocalists sit down for the combined jazz choirs' song. All three of the jazz choirs crowded onstage in front of the risers for "All of Me" arranged by Steve Zegree. They sang at the beginning of the show after a couple spotlights. Riley Milburn sang the solo in this song.
Mrs. Cassel
Becca Cassel acknowledges the choir after a song, stepping back and raising her hand high. Smiling bright into the lights after the jazz choirs' and concert choir's songs gave time for the audience's applause to be received by the students. It was a great time for friends and family to take photos as well.
Recognitions
The jazz choir seniors stand at the front of the stage to be recognized. From left to right, Zach Postel, Bailey Renner, Pierson Lee, Hunter Hughes, Michael Vandermark, and Jacob Reisetter have different amounts of experience in jazz. CC Lettow is also a jazz choir senior, but was unable to make it to the concert. Despite this, all, according to Cassel, have been leaders in their groups.
Concert Choir
Concert Choir sings, their attention focused on their director, Becca Cassel. They sang two songs on Friday, "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen and arranged by Mark Brymer and "Waving Through a Window" from "Dear Even Hansen" and arranged by Roger Emerson.
Features
Tucking her hair behind her ear as the curtain closes behind her, Josey Pasco gets ready for her spotlight solo. Cassel played piano for Pasco as she sang "Rainbow" by Kacey Musgraves.
After the Concert
As the final notes still ring in the auditorium, the choir members let their faces and bodies relax. The small group is still downstage because their part helped finish out the last song, "Waving Through a Window." Cassel said this may have been the shortest Pops Concert she has put on.

![Rhyan Miller is the April student of the month. Miller is the daughter of Charity and Rich Miller, and has maintained a 3.925 GPA. Her three favorite classes in high school have been drama as literature, Prostart II, and news journalism. Miller participates in cross country, theater, individual and large group speech, the prostart team, student council, NHS, silver cord, and track. She feels that her experiences in those activities have made her more extroverted, sharing that she is "not afraid of [her] own voice anymore." Miller plans to attend Winona State University to major in psychology and minor in political science. Her advice to others is to "Fake it 'till you make it." She feels she was selected as student of the month due to her increased active presence in the classroom. She is also thankful for the good parking spot. In honor of her achievements, Raccoon Valley Bank has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.](https://blackandredgister.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/20260427_104331-600x450.jpg)
