Four Reasons To Be Excited For The Nintendo Switch

Recently, Nintendo released a teaser for their new console, the Nintendo Switch. The trailer showed off multiple things many people excited, here are some reasons why YOU should be excited for it.

#1 Mobility: The Switch is mobile. That’s right. With The Switch, you can have the power of a console, anywhere you go. Multiple times throughout the trailer, you see people go from playing on a TV to playing on the tablet that disconnects from the base and seems to act as the heart or brain of the console. Whenever the switch occurs, there is seemingly no loading or break in game-play. However, you don’t have to play alone when you go mobile, as shown at 1:41 the controller pieces on the side can be used for two player split screen.

#2 New Games: A console is worthless without some great games to play on it and Nintendo took the opportunity to tease some of the games we can expect on the Switch. The first game shown was the previously announced Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But Breath of the Wild wasn’t the only game shown, also shown was a new Mario Cart. At this time Nintendo has yet to release information on this game. Similarly, Nintendo has shown shots of a Splatoon sequel and a new 3d Mario game and an NBA game, but, again no information has been released. However, the revealed game that has many people excited is Skyrim remastered. Aside from the game, it also indicates support from Bethesda for the Switch.

3# Third-Party Support. Bethesda isn’t the only 3rd party giving their support to The Switch. Over 40 third-party game developers have given the Switch their support, including the aforementioned Bethesda, as well as Capcom, Sega, Square Enix, and Ubisoft, so the Switch is sure to have a great lineup of games. But, if you’re worried about carrying around all those game disks, don’t worry, Nintendo is a step ahead of you.

#4 Game Cards: That’s right. Nintendo has abandoned the disk system that has been around for over a decade. As technology improves, cartridges are proving themselves to be able to hold more data disk with lower load times, giving Nintendo more freedom with its games and saving space for customers.
