October Student of the Month

 

Senior Jordyn Barthman is October’s Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Angie Schmitz and Ryan Barthman. Barthman has a GPA of 3.9 and her top three classes include Spanish IV, AP Literature and Composition and Economics.

Barthman is involved in many activities such as being the Student Body President, Student Council, National Honor Society, Big Sister, Math Club tutor and Individual and Group Speech. She loves to volunteer at Adel Elementary, the soccer fields and her church. Barthman is also working to earn her Humanitarian Cord.

Barthman’s advice to underclassmen: “Get involved! Join as many groups and clubs as possible. Follow what you enjoy doing to make high school memorable.”

She is planning to attend the University of Iowa to major in Medical Laboratory Sciences, with a minor in Spanish and a Certificate in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies.

Lincoln Savings Bank and Raccoon Valley Bank have each donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation in recognition of her efforts.
