Rylan Heffernan – March Boy’s Track Student of the Month

Rylan Heffernan was nominated for March Boy’s Track Student of the Month.  He is the son of Dave Heffernan and Janet Snell.  Heffernan is a senior this year.

Although this is Rylan’s first track season as an ADM Tiger, he has been doing track since he was 7th grade at West Central Valley.  He used to run the 2 mile and mile, but now runs 800s (which he enjoys much more).

Heffernan’s favorite part about track is the team and running with everyone, because a team is like another family.

When asked what being the Boy’s Track Student of the Month meant to Rylan he said, “It solidifies the fact that I’m a leader and a good role model to the team.”

Rylan thinks he was honored with this title because he always works hard, but in the end it’s all about the team and what makes them better and brings them closer together.

In recognition of Rylan’s achievements, River Valley Insurance has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
