Emma Kaney – March Student of the Month
Emma Kaney has been chosen as the Student of the Month for March. Emma is the daughter of Carla and Troy Kaney.
Emma has a 3.8 GPA and her favorite classes are art, math and any English class. She says these are her favorite classes because art lets her express herself without using words, math pushes her but has a set answer and any English class because she loves to write.
Emma has been involved in StuCo, volleyball, and Humanitarian Committee. She has learned how to be a leader, how to work as team and how to get involved with her community. Emma volunteers at her church, Meals From the Heartland and Camp Invention.
In her future, Emma plans to attend UNI, and minor in Spanish or ASL (American Sign Language). She is currently undecided in what major she wants to pursue.
Her advice to others is “No matter how much you want to stop and give up, keep trying to push through, and finish. It will feel good when you’re done.”
Being Student of the Month for Emma means a lot. “I feel blessed to have this privilege bestowed upon me,” she said.
Emma believes she has be honored because “I always try to be the best person I can be and always be nice.”
In honor of her achievements, Raccoon Valley Bank donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Fund.
