Abby Hlas- February Girls Basketball Athlete of the Month
Sophomore Abby Hlas has been nominated for this month’s Athlete of the Month for Girls Basketball. Abby is the daughter of Jerry and Christina Hlas.
Abby is not new to the game; she recalls playing since 1st grade. She has always loved the competitiveness the game possesses and the fast-paced aspect of it.
When asked what being Athlete of the Month for Girls Basketball means to her, Hlas said, “It is very exciting.” She believes she was nominated for the sport because she works hard in practice and it pays off in the games.
In recognition of all of Abby Hlas’ accomplishments, Sumpter Pharmacy has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
