January Teacher of the Month: Ms. Jennison
Natalie Jennison who is one of two Teachers of the Month, was nominated for her fun-filled classes and the enjoyable atmosphere in her room.
She has been a teacher for six years and all of those years have been spent at ADM. She decided to become a teacher because “I always knew I liked working with kids, and I was good at it, and I’ve always loved English. So, I decided that if I was going to have a fulfilling life, I needed to combine those two passions… Teaching was the way to go…. I haven’t regretted it ever.”
She says that English was something she always had a talent for, but she stumbled on secondary education because she simply decided to “give it a try” not because it was a long time passion of hers. “It just kind of stuck!”
To her, being Teacher of the Month “Is a great honor, it’s just nice–I don’t really care about the title, but I like to see every month when students write in and they compliment you for the things you do in class. One of the best compliments as a teacher is just to get a “Thanks.” Knowing you made a difference or that you made something fun for them–that’s my favorite part about it.”
