Grant Curran – December Kiwanis Student of the Month
Grant Curran, son of Jane and Chris Curran, is one of two Kiwanis Students of the Month for December. Grant maintains a 3.98 GPA and his favorite three classes are Medical Terminology, Medical Interventions, and AP Literature and Composition. He believes that these classes will prepare him for the future.
After school, he’s involved in baseball, basketball, golf, and NHS; these activities all have taught him how to build character and how to work together towards a common goal. He also volunteers at Saint Francis of Assisi (SFA), the Saint John’s Center in Des Moines and Mercy Medical Center.
Grant plans on attending the University of Iowa for pre-dentistry.
When asked about what advice he’d give on success in school or life, Grant said, “Learn how to manage your time early so you can maintain that skill all throughout life.”
“It is an honor to have my hard work that may have gone unnoticed revealed to many,” he shares, he believes that he has been awarded Kiwanis Student of the Month, “because I have a great work ethic and an open outlook on several things on a day to day basis.”
In recognition of his achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Fund.
