Sami Schepers – December Student of the Month
Sami Schepers is December’s Student of the Month. Sami is the daughter of Eric Schepers and Melanie Holtan.
Sami’s hard work in school is expressed through her 4.0 GPA. A few classes she enjoys are AP Language and Composition and Statistics class because they are both interesting, fun, and challenging.
Not only does Sami focus on academics, but she is involved in activities and volunteering as well. Sami is involved in volleyball and track, as well as National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
“I’ve learned how to be a leader and how to be apart of the team,” she said.
Sami volunteers at AHeinz57 Pet Rescue, Meals for the Heartland and youth volleyball camps.
Sami plans to attend Iowa State University majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish. She hopes to get accepted into Veterinarian school after that.
Sami believes the school recognizes her as Student of the Month because of her hard work and responsibility.
“My work and activities in academics have paid off,” she said.
The advice Sami has to others about being successful in life is, “Be nice to everyone.”
In recognition of her achievements Raccoon Valley Bank has donated $100.
