ADM Completes the Comeback Over Bondurant

ADM took on the Bondurant-Farrar Blue Jays on Friday, February 3. After falling in two straight games, the Tigers looked to get back on track against this conference foe. With district play right around the corner, it’s important that the Tigers get things rolling again. It was also a special night because it was senior night. The Tigers have seven seniors on the roster, so it was an exciting night for the team.

The Tigers struggled early and often throughout the game and couldn’t find a basket. It wasn’t looking good for the Tigers after only scoring two points in the whole second half and being down 29-15 at the half, but, late in the game when things were looking grim for the Tigers, the three-year starter Matthew Larson stepped up. In the 4th quarter, the Tigers went on a 19-5 run and brought the game back and tied it up, forcing the game into overtime.

How do you set up an amazing comeback? Well, it starts with great defense. Cole Knoll shut down Bondurant’s offense on a 14-point comeback. “We did it for the seniors. It was their night and they deserved it.”

The student section was absolutely ecstatic with so many amazing events happening in this gym recently. The fans for the Tigers keep coming out to support. The student section was being loud and you could tell it was a distraction to the other team and giving the Tigers some life and motivation. The Tigers finished the big comeback and won in overtime 64-59 behind Matthew Larson’s 25 points and Tajen Ross’ 19.
