Tigers Get Their Revenge On the Huskies
Tuesday January 24, ADM hosted the Winterset Huskies. The last time these two teams played it was bad news for the Tigers. The Tigers fell to the Huskies, but this time around it was a whole different Tiger team. The Tigers have been playing a dominant defensive roll that has carried it’s way to the offensive side of the ball. ADM is 5-1 in their last six games, whereas Winterset has an overall record of 5-8. ADM was looking for some revenge in this game and revenge is what they got. The Tigers came out of the gates super slow. They struggled early on and even throughout the game with shooting. The biggest problem for the Tigers was they couldn’t find the boards. They were struggling to box out and get the rebounds. The Tigers were somehow in the game at the half, despite poor shooting efforts, 37-37.
The second half was crazy. As a reporter, I was at a loss for words. Late in the game, ADM was down eight but made a drive with some crazy events happening here and there. ADM scored and stole the inbound to get them within two. A crazy stop at the other end and then another basket and ADM tied the game. Winterset took back the ball, with ADM playing great defense and Tajen Ross reading the shot wrong, jumping over the player and giving Justin Henry two shots. Henry sunk them both. Now ,this next part you’re just going to have to watch it for yourself.
ADM won the game 63-62. The Tigers won the game, but Jared Sapp won the night.
