ADM Takes a Step Backwards Against the Dutch
On the first day back from break, the Tigers had to take a ride over to Pella. The Tigers were going to take on the Dutch, a real test to see if the Tigers could compete with some of the best. Going into the game, the most important part for ADM was to come off hot. Before break, ADM overcame the doubt and defeated Carroll. Sadly, all the momentum just died after having to take a long break. Now that the second half of the season is underway, ADM needs to build some momentum again before District play starts.
During the first half, ADM started off the game shooting their way into a tight start. Pella was ranked #3 going into the game and it showed. The Dutch were making everything. The Tigers put up a great defense at times but that didn’t matter because the Dutch were getting everything to fall. The Tigers hung with them early in the second quarter but after Tajen Ross’s little run he had the Dutch pulled away and took a 14 point lead into the half.
The second half was the same story ADM’s ‘bigs” couldn’t keep up the rebounds. The Dutch turned the boards into offense on the other end and the Tigers fell to the Dutch 86-60.
The Tigers need to turn things around and get the second half of the season started off strong Friday at Bondurant to take on the Blue Jays.
