Once Upon A Mattress Set to Premiere This Weekend
“We’ve got an opening for a princess.”
The ADM Music and Drama Departments teamed up this year to bring the community the musical, Once Upon A Mattress. Filled with romance, comedy and music, this spin-off of The Princess and the Pea is bound to change the way you look at fairy tales.
Senior Matthew Drake plays Sir Studley and says that he enjoys his character because he thinks of himself as a mere sarcastic knight. Drake believes the play is a pretty funny spoof of a classic fairy tale.
Showtimes are on November 11 and 12 at 7 pm, along with a 2 pm showing on the 13 in the High School Auditorium. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Be sure to come out and see if the princes and princesses get their fairy tale endings.
