Women know the struggle of having no pockets. To give you a rundown of women’s pockets, often have pockets that do not hold anything or they have fake pockets that look like they are pockets. Usually women  can put items in but you can not.  They stitch the pocket so women get the shape of a pocket for the fashion aspect of it but not the purpose. 

  Many women often have to choose between fashion or having purpose in the pants that they are buying. Most of the people want fashion rather than purpose. Many of the pants that you see in stores do not have pockets and if they do they can barely hold your phone. 

“I don’t like it, most of the small pockets are in my jeans, but I like having long pockets and not small pockets. I can find pants with big pockets easier because I feel that the store knows that there is a demand for them.  I have mostly big back pockets.” said Karley Mattes. 

Men mostly have large front and back pockets compared to women, so it is easier to carry many items on them without a purse but women only have large back pockets and small front pockets. Men’s clothing has an advantage over women clothing. Men have more free spots in their pants than women do. Women constantly have to find places to keep their items or have a purse that they have to carry  their personal belongings in. It can be a hassle at times because then you can forget your purse or forget an item that you need. 

“I feel that men have better pockets than women do most of the time,” said Carter Haaland.  “Guys do not need purses and they can eliminate that by using their pockets for the job that purses do.”

Men have better pockets they can fit not only their items, they can also fit their significant other’s items too. Where women can not even fit their own items in their pockets. In their front pocket they can not even fit their phones. So, I think that factories and fashion designers should consider making women’s pockets as functional as men’s pockets.
