What It feels Like to be Prom Queen:

 Basically in the middle of the dance, all the candidates would stand in front of the dance and then they would just announce who was queen and king.  I didn’t think I was gonna be a candidate just ’cause I was on a homecoming court too, so I didn’t really think anything of it, honestly.  It was chosen by a form that was sent out to the senior class, and then we voted for the four or five candidates that we wanted.  It was really fun to be prom queen. We just took pictures afterwards and that was honestly it. We just got our crowns and then we got to keep them, which was fun. 

What it feels like to be Prom King:

 To be honest, I forgot I even put my name down on the list to be a candidate.  When I found out I was a candidate, that’s when I wanted to be it [prom king]. I was like, you know what? Might as well, since I’m out, it’d be pretty cool.  It was pretty cool. All my friends were excited. It was a really cool moment, something that I’ll tell later down the road. My dad brings it up every once in a while. He was pretty excited about it.  It was fun. I guess it felt like . . . some unexpected goal happened, something that you never thought would happen, happened, and it was a pretty good thing to happen. It was exciting. It was a fun night. Yeah. All right, so a memory that’ll last for a long time.
