The summer is the perfect time for high school students to get a job and start working. ADM students have opportunities all around them to be able to start making money during the summer doing something they enjoy. Located in the commons is a bulletin board that displays a list of flyers for high school-level jobs in the area that are looking to hire.
The jobs listed on the bulletin board have a variety of skill levels and age requirements that need to be met. The legal age to begin working for a company in Iowa is 14 years old. The jobs at this age may be limited but the school has presented students with many opportunities.

The Adel Parks and Recreation and The Adel Aquatic Center is taking application for summer positions. The Adel Aquatic Center is looking for lifeguards ages 15 and older, and the first year pay is $12.00 an hour. Adel Parks and Recreations is looking to fill a variety of positions including Art in the Park Instructor, Art in the Park Assistant, ball field concessions, and youth league umpires.
If you are 18 years or older and looking to get a job this summer before trade school, Cook Plumbing Corp has an opening. CPC will pay for your trade schooling if you are just getting into plumbing. The starting pay is $18 an hour with normal working hours from 7:00am – 3:30pm.
