One of Crisp and Greens goals is to always have their food sourced from locals farms, and to keep it fresh for you.

A few months ago, at the beginning of the school year, me and my friend decided to use our 6th open to go get lunch and catch up. As we were driving, an ad popped up on my Instagram for a new restaurant called ” Crisp and Green” in West Des Moines. I scrolled through the page and immediately wanted to visit. It was filled with brightly colored bowls like salads, grain bowls, and acai bowls. This is where my new obsession first began. The amount of money I have spent on salads from Crisp and Green is almost embarrassing, and could possibly fund my college education.

One of my favorite things about this chain is the values that the company stands on. They have three “core pillars.” The first one is exceptional products. Based on my spending in the last six months, I can confidently say that their products are exceptional. It’s fast, delicious and makes you feel good. I grew up in a household that prioritized home cooked meals, and products with minimal processed foods, so when I come across a restaurant that uses non processed foods I live to support it. You shouldn’t have to choose between a quick meal and a healthy one.

There second pillar is “World-Class Hospitality.” I have never had a bad customer experience. The workers are always delightful and greet me with a smile.

The third and final pillar is “Commitment to Community.” This is another thing I really appreciate in a company is if they care about the community around them and make an effort to give back.

“Living crisp is more than just eating healthy, it’s a movement that embodies being the best you from the inside out. We believe that every individual should have access to the tools needed to live a positive, healthy life. Therefore, we have teamed up with like-minded organizations in our community to bring you events that provide insight on how to be your best you,” the restaurant states

Overall Crisp and Green is an amazing restaurant, not only with their food, but also the values they stand on.
