January’s Kiwanis Humanitarian Student of the Month is Madison Siefken. As the senior daughter of Matt and Michelle Siefken, the 4.0 GPA student is extremely involved in ADM High School and the community.
Siefken is involved in volleyball, track, student council, NHS, and FCA. She also frequently volunteers at her church, helping with the youth kids program, and at the ADM Elementary with youth volleyball camps. She claims that being involved in these activities has allowed her to learn a lot about teamwork, collaboration, and how to be a good leader on and off the court and in the classroom.
She plans on going to the University of Illinois Springfield to continue her academic and volleyball career and will be majoring in business administration. When asked about what advice she would give to students that want to be successful in school she said the best thing is, “to stay on top of schoolwork because trying to catch up while getting more work assigned to you is difficult.”
Siefken humbly explained that it means a lot to be chosen as this months Kiwanis Humanitarian Student of the Month because “it feels good that all my hard work I’ve put in over the last 4 years is being recognized by others”
In recognition of her achievements, Kiwanis Humanitarian SOM has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
