Recycling the 90’s

Fashion Trends are a huge influence on our society, from celebrity appearances on the red carpet to seeing normal people in your local coffee shops. Everyone has a certain style, but here are some of the current fashion trends that have been recycled through the years. If you didn’t already know, we recycle fashion trends about every 20-30 years. These trends and styles of clothing are looked back on and decided by influential people and big brands that it’s time for them to make a comeback. Currently, in 2023 we are seeing trends from the 1990s come back into style, here are 3 of the most trendy styles that you might not know your mom was also rocking in the 90’s.

Biker Shorts

Biker shorts are not a 2023 original. They were a super trendy athletic clothing item in the 90s that was popular for running and other exercises. Some notable figures who were known to wear biker shorts include Princess Diana, Kylie Minogue and “Kimmy Gibber” in Full House.

Bikers shorts have been worn by influential women in the past, and are a huge trend in the present.

Headbands

One of the most iconic hair trends in the 90’s was various types of headbands. Thick headbands that were pushed back unto blowouts and zig-zag headbands to pull your hair straight back were huge hits. Today these two trends have resurfaced and are thriving. Many models and celebs have been seen wearing these iconic hair pieces on recent runways and day to day life.

Fanny PacksĀ

The go-to going-out bag for all things exercise, shopping, family trips and more. This bag characterized what functionality and fashion looked like in the 90s and is still around today. Chances are that if you are a fan of Lululemon, you own a belt nag. These bags are an adaption of what the ’90s fanny pack was. Highly wanted, functional, and super on-trend.

90s fanny packs and the Lululemon belt bag both come in multiple fun funky colors.
