Tropical Smoothie is relatively new to Waukee, but it is already a big hit for many people. If you have not tried it yet, here’s a review to give you an insight on their array of food items.
Their menu includes refreshing smoothies that come in various flavors, delicious flatbreads, sandwiches, salads, wraps, breakfast items, and “Dillas” which is their version of a quesadilla.
When I visited Tropical Smoothie, their staff was very welcoming and quick. You can tell they are well-trained and knowledgeable. They have a wide variety on their menu, so you have many options to choose from to find something you like. The restaurant is very clean and neatly kept. Once you order, they have your food done shortly after, so you don’t have to wait a long time. They have a nice dining area where you can sit and eat if you don’t choose to take it to-go.
They are open from 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM every weekday. On Saturdays, they don’t open until 8:00, and on Sundays, they have shortened hours from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. They have great hours, to fit a time into your schedule.
In my opinion, their food is really good. I have tried several different smoothie flavors, and none of them have disappointed me so far. I have also tried the Chipotle Chicken Club flatbread, which I would definitely recommend if you like a little bit of spice in your food. Although their smoothies are good, they are pretty basic and nothing you can’t make yourself at home. This being said, I would give Tropical Smoothie an 8/10 rating, taking into consideration their quick service, friendly staff, and great food. Whenever you have time to try it out, I would recommend stopping by and trying something new.
