Senior Makayla Crannell is October Kiwanis Humanitarian Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Anne and Scott Crannell and has a GPA of 4.02.
Crannell’s favorite classes in high school have been Biomed, Human Body Systems, and Medical Intervention. She is involved in volleyball, softball, track, 4H, FCA, and NHS. Crannell volunteers heavily at her church and at various school activities. Her college decision is undecided, but she plans to major in kinesiology wherever she goes.
When asked what advice she would give to others about being successful in high school, she said, “Work hard and try your best because it does go noticed and it pays off eventually.”
Crannell said she feels grateful to be honored with this title, and she believes it is because of the service she has done for the community.
In honor of her achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
