For May’s Fine Art Student of the month, a student enrolled in an art class will be highlighted.

Emma Mellencamp is the daughter of Christina and Jeff Mellencamp. Mellencamp has been enrolled in an Art class all four years of high school, this year being her senior year. Mellencamp is currently taking AP Studio Art, and her artwork, ranging from paintings to drawings, will be displayed at the upcoming local art showcase.

“I have learned different skills regarding artwork along with techniques. The class is fun to take and you can express your personal ideas through your artwork and pieces. It is a lot different than other activities, and it is very individual.” said Mellencamp.

Fine Art Student of the Month means a lot to Mellencamp, as she feels specials with her skills are on display.

“I believe I have been honored because I always do my work and spend my time in class focused on my pieces. I prioritize my artwork and constantly pursuing my new ideas.” said Mellencamp.

In recognition of Emma Mellencamp’s achievements, Lincoln Savings Bank will be donating $100 to the ADM Scholarship Fund.
