The world of athletic wear is a challenging place. There are so many options to a point it’s overwhelming. In the last four years, I have come into contact with some of the best and worst athletic wear brands, so let me guide you through finding the best of the best. Disclaimer, I am 5’2”, 120 pounds, and typically wear extra small or small. Some of my favorite brands include Alphalete, gym shark, NVGTN, and Alo; however, they tend to be fairly expensive and not always the best quality. One of my favorite affordable brands is Aoxjok’s. You can find them on Amazon and they have leggings and shorts that are high quality but not as expensive as the name brand. My favorite leggings from this brand are the Electric Blue Marl Leggings. They are $25.00 and are perfect dupes for the Alphalete Revival Legging that are $64.00. My second favorite is the Black Speckled Marl Leggings that are $19.00 and are dupes for the NVGTN Black Speckled Contour Seamless Leggings that are $48.00. My favorite shorts from them are the high-waisted biker shorts, which are $23.00 and are dupes for the Buff Bunny Bonsai Bike Short in Onyx Black that are $54.00. All of these leggings and shorts are squat proof and sweat proof after an hour hit workout, consisting of weight training and cardio. One of my favorite pricey brands are Buff Bunny and Alphalete due to their consistency among all leggings in terms of quality. My favorite leggings from Buff Bunny are the Latitude Legging Onyx Black they are $64 and have an unmatched Nubre fabric that is softer than Lululemon. My favorite shorts from them are the Flo Short Midnight Navy that is $52.00 and have amazing pockets. My favorite leggings from Alphalete are the Pulse Surge Legging in Citrus they are $68.00 and fairly sweatproof regardless of the light color. My favorite shorts from this brand are the Alphalux Force Shorts in Black. They are $50 and are shorter biker shorts that are still high-waisted. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you find your next favorite outfit for the gym, without breaking your wallet!
