Many teachers hold jobs outside of school or during the summer. Mrs. Reed, one of our teachers here at ADM, started her own photography business because she loved to take photographs and capture moments with her family, and wanted to bring that passion to other people as well. I have had the pleasure of having her has an advisor, and many others have had her as a resource teacher and overall aid and mentor at ADM.

Reed started her photography business in 2017. She photographs for families, newborns, maternity, engagement, seniors, and the occasional wedding. She decided to start this business because it allows her to use her “creative side”.  Photography is important to her because she has a philosophy that, “Having pictures of different parts of your life is really important.”

Reed and her family are based out of Adair, but she travels anywhere around the Des Moines Area for her job. When asked if she had a favorite location for photo shoots, she said, “I have some go to’s, but I love to explore all kinds of new places.”

She offers packages for sessions depending on how many locations, prints, and time spent at each location.
