January Student of the Month: Anna Kenny

January 2019 Student of the Month: Anna Kenny

Steven Dobrzynski, Reporter

Anna Kenny is the January Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Mike and Lynn Kenny and has a GPA of 4.1.

Kenny’s favorite classes are Statistics and Digital Photography. She is involved in FCA, NHS, Volunteer Club, track and basketball. From these, she says she’s learned a lot about responsibility by showing up for meetings and practices, and hard work, especially in basketball and track. Kenny volunteers at the Mobile Food Bank in Adel, as well as at Amplify, her church’s middle school youth group.

When Kenny graduates, she is planning on attending the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. When asked what advice she’d give to other students, she said that if you start off freshman year strong and you study hard, work hard, and take challenging classes, then you’re far more prepared for the rest of high school. She also said to not be afraid to asked questions, as it’s much easier in the long run if you understand what you need to be working on.

In recognition of her achievement, Raccoon Valley Bank has donated $100 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
