Nolan Harsh is one of the December Kiwanis Students of the Month. He is the son of Jeff and Jill Harsh and has a GPA of 3.67.

Some of Harsh’s favorite classes are Stats, Athletic Enhancement and Environmental Science, which he is planning to major in. Outside of school, he’s involved in wrestling, football, soccer, Big Brother and student council. Through these, he said he has learned to be a better leader. Harsh also volunteers to help at youth wrestling events. Currently, he is unsure on where he plans to attend college.

When asked for advice on success in life, Harsh said to “Pay attention to what’s going on around you.” To him, being Kiwanis Student of the Month is an honor, and he believes he was chosen for it because of his focus on balancing academics with out of school activities.

In recognition of his achievements, Kiwanis of Adel has donated $50 to the ADM Scholarship Foundation.
